Housing Credit for Young People: Increase in State Guarantee

Order no. 6939-A/2025 of 25 June was published, authorising the reinforcement of the State’s personal guarantee to Caixa Central de Crédito Agrícola Mútuo – Sistema Integrado do Crédito Agrícola Mútuo (SICAM). The measure is part of the regime set out in Decree-Law 44/2024 of 10 July, which aims to combat the current crisis in access to housing by making it possible to grant permanent home loans to young people up to the age of 35.
