Decree-Law no. 87/2024 of 7 November was published, introducing electronic court service as the rule for legal persons, while natural persons can also opt for this form of service, facilitating judicial proceedings and reducing legal obstacles. As a result, court services will be made available in a designated online area, with notices sent by email and, if necessary, by post, thus modernizing judicial procedures and eliminating the use of means that are already largely out of use, such as telegrams and faxes.
