The Parliament Resolution Number 126/2018 assembles a parliamentary committee of inquiry regarding the payment of rents and subsidies to electricity producers, under the form of Costs for the Maintenance of Contractual Equilibrium (CMEC), to determine the dimension of the payments that have already been made and those that are still due, the effect under the costs of the electric system produced by legal amendments and administrative acts made regarding the CMEC and the existence of any omission or a relevant behaviour failure in furtherance of the obligations of energy services and its regulatory bodies.
