Law no. 55/2025 of 28 April approves the Statute of the Scientific Research Career (ECIC) and the common regime for scientific research careers under private law. The ECIC establishes the rules for careers under public law, while the common regime will apply to foundational higher education institutions, public business entities with research and development activities, as well as private non-profit organisations that are part of the national scientific and technological system.
