On 11th January 2022, Law 9/2022 was published in the Official Gazette, establishing measures to support and accelerate company restructuring processes and payment agreements, pursuant to Directive (EU) 2019/1023. Of the various changes to the legislation made by this law, the reduction of the personal insolvency period to 3 years is highlighted, in which the individual may be granted exoneration from credit claims on the insolvency after 3 years from the date of conclusion of this process.
