On January 14th 2022, Decree-Law 15/2022 was published in Diário da República – the Portuguese official gazette, which establishes the organization and operation of the National Electricity System. This new regime broughts several changes to the previous until then in force, namely regarding the consumer’s role, by reducing the obstacles to self-consumption, concentrating essential information to the consumer and making available supply contracts at dynamic prices, promoting the supply of services with flexibility.
