On October 29th, the Aliens and Borders Service (SEF) was abolished, giving way to the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA). As a result, SEF’s former powers were transferred to the public security forces, in terms of police responsibilities, and to the Institute of Registration and Notaries (IRN) and AIMA, in administrative matters relating to foreign citizens.
