The law authorises the Government to establish a special procedure for the sale of properties forming part of an undivided estate, allowing such properties to be sold even where there is no agreement among all the heirs. The legislation also provides for the creation of a new succession arbitration regime, under which certain disputes between heirs may be resolved before arbitral tribunals, thereby helping to reduce the workload of the ordinary courts and making the resolution of such disputes more expeditious.
